Ron Suess, the man with a sweet name and a sweet tooth! Suess in German translates to "Sweet". Ron and Barbara started Seal Beach Toffee Company in their home kitchen 30 years ago. They made Toffee for their friends during the Christmas Season and special occasions only.
After a few years they were getting requests to make and sell their Toffee to friends and small businesses for the Holliday Season. Their business had grown from reputation only; and was growing every year at a fast pace.
In 2008 Ron & Barbara Suess entered into a partnership with Larry & Faye Shaver and built a new kitchen located in Los Alamitos. It was our goal to have a modern manufacturing facility and produce our candy for our customers to enjoy year round. In 2013 Larry and Faye Shaver purchased the remaining stock in the company and plan to focus on growing the retail side of the business and adding new selection of Toffee Products.
In 2021 Ron's Original English Toffee is in the care of a new generation. We're proud to share the "Suess" toffee with you, your family, and friends.
